The first time I saw these words was in a book called “Peaceful Warrior”, which was read about three years ago by a chance. I was deeply attracted by this amazing story, which I believe a lot of people, who have either read this book or watched the movie based on this book, found it’s very enlightening somehow.
“Everyone wants to tell you what to do and what’s good for you. They don’t want you to find your own answers, they want you to believe theirs.” How true are these words! If you think about the way we have been raised up and the way we have been taught from school, you will realize how much our own opinions are allowed to be developed further, and how much our own ideas could thrive even deeper without being influenced by other people’s cognition.
Later on, when we are getting mature enough, part of us might start to reevaluate the ideas which have been implanted in our mind when we were young, and start to find their own answers on what we should believe, and what we should not. I hope more and more people would wake up rather earlier to start a new chapter, which is not instructed by others, but purely belongs to themselves only.
